  • Why couldn't sign in to my Outlook.com Email Account?
    If you are unable to sign in, kindly try the following steps:
    1. Clear your Internet Explorer cache and browser cookies. Visit the following link for steps;
    2. If you're still unable to sign-in after clearing the cache and cookies, please try resetting your password;https://account.live.com/password/reset
    3. If you have cleared cache, cookies and tried to reset your password and find that you are still unable to access your Emails Account, Microsoft recommends you complete and submit the following Account Validation form Online;https://account.live.com/acsr

  • What should I do If I do not pass the Online Account Validation Process?
    If you are not able to pass account validation requirements, you are encouraged to re-submit the Online validation form with more accurate information to assist with the validation process. Alternatively, we recommended that you create a new Microsoft Account.
    Note:
    • Microsoft treats your privacy and account security seriously and it is necessary for you satisfy the questions in the validation form accurately as Microsoft uses this to assess rightful ownership of a Microsoft Account.

  • Can I switch back from Outlook.com to Hotmail?
    There is no longer an option to switch back to Hotmail. Your Hotmail address and password, saved emails, contacts, calendars, and rules were automatically moved to your new Outlook.com inbox.

    We think Outlook.com builds on the great tools in Hotmail, and we hope you'll agree. You get all the features you loved in Hotmail, like Sweep and one-click Unsubscribe, along with new features like archiving and a refreshed design. Outlook.com helps you see and do more from your inbox quickly.     • Why is my app in the wrong language?
      Your selected language must match one of the supported languages for Mail and Calendar for Windows 10. To see the supported languages for Mail and Calendar and for steps to set your preferred language in Windows 10, see Supported languages in Mail and Calendar.
    • What do I need to get started with Mail and Calendar?
      All you need is an email address and a password. We’ll show you how to add your account, send your first email, and create your first event.
    • What languages do the Mail and Calendar apps support?
      The apps support a variety of different languages. Once you change your language in Windows 10, you should see the changes in Mail and Calendar as well.
    • Where are my email messages or events?
      If you don’t see older emails, you might need to change your sync duration If your older events, or events far in the future, aren't visible, don't worry. The events are still there, but are outside the range that Calendar for Windows 10 displays. Learn more.
    • Why is my account out-of-date?
      If you’re receiving a message that your account settings are out-of-date, update the password? stored in the Mail and Calendar apps.
    • How can I delete or remove an account?
      You can delete or remove an account from either the Mail or Calendar app. You can't delete the default account, but you can turn off email for that account.
    • Can I change the color of the Mail and Calendar windows?
      Yes. You can change the window color, switch from light to dark theme, or add a background photo to the app. You can't add a background photo to an individual email message.
    • Can I get notifications in the Mail app?
      Yes. In the Mail app, you can turn on notifications for accounts and pinned folders.
    Email
    • I'm having sync issues.If your email messages aren't appearing, you can try to resolve your sync issues.
    • How do I add my email to my phone or tablet?
      You can add your Microsoft email account via Settings. See Set up email in Mail for Windows 10 for more information.
    • Some of my emails are missing or disappearing. If you don’t see some or all of your email messages and you’re not receiving an error, you might need to change your sync duration.
    • I can't see images or links in email messages. You might have cleared the Always download full message and Internet images check box in your sync settings. Go to Settings > Manage Accounts, select your account, and then choose Change Mailbox sync settings.
    • How do I change the size or format of the text?
      When reading email, you can zoom in and out, and when writing email, you can change the font size, color, or format, as well as the zoom level. See Change fonts, check spelling, and add images, files, tables, and links to learn more.
    • How do I save and send a draft?
      Drafts are saved automatically. For more information, see Working with drafts.
    • How do I print?
      If you have a printer set up in Windows 10, you can print any email message or several different views of your calendar from your computer or tablet.
    • Can I combine or link accounts to view all of my mail from multiple accounts in one place?
      Yes. You can link two or more inboxes so all of your messages appear in one inbox.
    • Can I block a sender?
      You can't block senders from within Mail for Windows 10, but if you are using an Outlook account you can block a sender from Outlook or Outlook.com. If you're using another email provider, try accessing your email account directly with the provider and see if they allow blocking senders from there.
    • How do I sign out of my email account?
      You can’t sign out of an account that’s been added to the Mail or Calendar apps. However, you can delete an account. To learn how, see Delete an email account from Mail and Calendar apps.
